DIAGNOSTIC LABS AND IMAGING
Fast, accurate diagnostic testing with on-site labs and imaging to support timely care.
At Med Center Health Emergency + UrgentCare, fast and accurate diagnosis is an essential part of providing high-quality care. Our facilities are equipped with on-site laboratory services and diagnostic imaging, allowing providers to quickly evaluate symptoms and begin treatment without unnecessary delays.
Whether you’re experiencing an illness, injury, or concerning symptoms, our team uses advanced diagnostic tools to help determine the cause and guide the next steps in your care.
LABS
Our on-site laboratory uses advanced equipment to perform a variety of diagnostic tests with fast turnaround times. These tests help providers identify infections, evaluate symptoms, and guide treatment decisions during your visit.
Common in-house tests may include:
- Blood tests
- Urinalysis
- Rapid testing for common illnesses
- Glucose testing
- Pregnancy testing
- Other routine diagnostic lab tests
These services help our providers deliver timely answers and treatment without sending patients to another facility.
CT SCANS
A CT (computed tomography) scan is an imaging test that uses advanced X-ray technology to create detailed images of the body. These images allow providers to see bones, blood vessels, and soft tissues with greater clarity than a standard X-ray. CT scans can help identify fractures or internal injuries, detect infections or inflammation, evaluate internal bleeding after trauma, and assist in diagnosing certain medical conditions. This advanced imaging technology helps providers make faster, more informed decisions about treatment.
EKG
An electrocardiogram (EKG) is a test that measures the electrical activity of the heart. It is commonly used to evaluate patients experiencing symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, or an irregular heartbeat. An EKG can help providers detect abnormal heart rhythms, identify signs of a possible heart attack, and monitor patients with known heart conditions. This quick, noninvasive test helps providers assess heart health and determine the most appropriate course of care.
ULTRASOUND
Ultrasound imaging, also called sonography, uses sound waves to create images of structures inside the body. This non-invasive test helps providers evaluate a variety of conditions and guide diagnosis and treatment.
Ultrasound may be used to assess:
- Abdominal pain
- Soft tissue injuries
- Certain internal conditions
- Blood flow in vessels
X-RAY
X-rays are commonly used to diagnose injuries and medical conditions quickly. At Med Center Health Emergency + UrgentCare, on-site X-ray imaging helps providers evaluate many types of injuries and illnesses.
X-rays are often used to identify:
- Broken bones or fractures
- Joint injuries
- Chest conditions such as pneumonia
- Certain internal abnormalities
COVID-19 TESTING
COVID-19 is a respiratory illness caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus that can lead to symptoms ranging from mild cold-like symptoms to more serious complications. Testing and early evaluation can help determine the best course of care and reduce the spread of illness.
